My good friends…..
They are tons of them, though I don’t get to see or talk to them for months, they are always there. Always wanting to see me but understands the life I have.
Alberto - I grew up with this guy. He has grown so much these last few years, but who loves me like his own brother. I cooked for him for his birthday three years ago, one of the best once I ever did.
Eric - my shadow whom I disappeared from due to the work I so dearly love, but who understands. He is there for me. I was in the airport once feeling so bad then suddenly he was there.
Liane - my tampo girl, who I chat on the phone with for hours, my listening and answering diary who I have the best lunches with.
Trish - who tells me when to stop, who gives more than myself. Her simple way of caring is real. I made her groom’s cake, giveaways, hosted her wedding reception show and was a cord sponsor.
Patty - my kumare, a very close friend since college who I regret not seeing, loves my cooking even if she knows how they are done.
And a potful of students, who keeps me going, who after years of working abroad comes back to school to look for me….great showers of joy in my heart…..there are some who call from another part of the world just to ask how I am doing…
Just finished watching “ No Reservations .“ Kate, the executive chef said, “ I wish there was a cookbook for life where recipes will tell us what to do.”

That was you in the middle, chef? wow…times do go by so fast…it’s funny! Not the bad kind of funny..but old school cool kind of funny:)

That was taken when I was in first year high school, I still had a head full of hair! Enjoyed that time tremendously, AV as you can imagine.

Miss you too, Chefie! Good thing you’re keeping a blog! Hope you’ll be able to maintain it, it’s nice to see how the Chef’s doing from time to time. In case I come by for dinner sometime, I’ll look for you again:)
